A new expert to support NIPN countries
Dr. Youssouf Keita, a Malian citizen, is working with the Global Support Facility team since January 2019. A medical doctor by training (2006), he started his career in a community health centre in Mali, before enrolling in two Masters in Public Health (statistics and nutrition), completed by a degree in Tropical Medicine. He then worked successively as an expert for the ‘Access to Medicines’ Department of Sanofi, as a Research Associate at the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA), and as a Biostatistician at the hospital Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris. More recently, from 2014 to 2018, he came back to Mali working as ‘Resident Advisor’ for the National Evaluation Platform (NEP), a programme of Johns Hopkins University. His experience with the NEP is of great value for supporting countries in the NIPN approach.
