TRENDS IN CHRONIC MALNUTRITION IN CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS OF AGE AND ITS DETERMINANTS AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL

This report presents the results of the analysis of the NIPN to the priority question 1 identified :
"How have the determinants that explain the high and persistent prevalence of chronic malnutrition in children under five (5) years of age in Niger evolved? »
The analyses and interpretations of the data in this report show that little progress has been made over the last fifteen (15) years in this form of malnutrition, which causes enormous human and economic suffering.
