The second capacity building workshop on the implementation of the NIPN operational cycle was organized by the Global Support Facility (GSF) from February 27 to March 1, 2019 in Grand Bassam, Côte d’Ivoire. 30 stakeholders from the NIPN Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Niger teams attended the workshop.
The first capacity building workshop on the implementation of the NIPN operational cycle was organized by the Global Support Facility (GSF) from January 30 to February 1, 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 22 stakeholders from the NIPN Ethiopia team within EPHI and their partners (IFPRI, EIAR, EU, Ministries of Health and Agriculture, etc.) attended the workshop.
NIPN organised a successful side-event during the IFPRI-FAO conference on “Accelerating the End of Hunger and Malnutrition” in Bangkok, attended by about 100 participants. NIPN representatvies from Ethiopia and Lao PDR were part of the discussion panel. More.
On November 22, at the headquarters of the departmental government of Totonicapán, in Guatemala, the NIPN project was presented to regional and departmental delegates from government institutions, representatives of civil society and international cooperation.
As part of the Celebration of the 28th African Statistics Day, the Minister of Public Health of Niger, Dr. Idi Illiassou Mainassara proceeded on Wednesday, November 21 to the official launch of the National Information Platform for Nutrition, indicating that the initiative was part of national priorities by gathering and analyzing a maximum of data available to better guide policies and strategies to combat malnutrition.
