A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

The content management system SPIP uses functional cookies for the following purposes:

This website uses Matomo for statistics on usage of the webpages. Matomo collects the following information:

• location of the user: country, region, city, approximate latitude and longitude
• main language of the browser being used

The information from Matomo cookies is stored in anonymised fashion for up to six months. Matomo does not use a ‘fingerprint’ to track visitors, but uses the privacy-friendly measures to protect user privacy: the config_id which groups different actions into “visits” during a short window of up to 24-hours.

CAPACITY FOR NUTRITION & NIPN
The European Commission (EC) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has jointly agreed to initiate C4N to enhance capacities, governance and accountability for evidence-based and inclusive nutrition policy response and programming in priority countries, regions and global institutions. This includes to provide global support for the NIPN initiative, to help countries to develop a National Information Platform for Nutrition, and to coordinate the technical assistance and capacity building required.

The main role of the C4N-NIPN is to:
• Coordinate the initiative within and between countries
• Support countries to design and establish each NIPN
• Build capacity and provide technical assistance
• Link with SUN and other initiatives to ensure coherence.

From January 2020 NIPN is being implemented by C4N, implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in Brussels, Belgium.

From 2016 to 2019, global support for NIPN has been managed by the Global Support Facility at Agrinatura, the European alliance on agricultural knowledge for development and hosted by Agropolis International in Montpellier, France.
